Description Gabriel Klein 2009-06-22 23:19:47 UTC
Version: 2:2.1.1mysql5.1.30-0ubuntu1~jaunty1 (using KDE 4.2.4)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Congrats, developers! Awesome job! However I'm missing a feature I used all the time in Amarok 1.4.x.

I often have really long playlists and when scrolling through them I find a track I want to listen to after the one currently playing. I can select "Queue Track" from the context menu but in 1.4 I could press Ctrl-D and that would have the same effect.

Currently, in Amarok 2:2.1.1mysql5.1.30-0ubuntu1~jaunty1 Ctrl-D deletes the currently selected track from the playlist.

It would be great, if a keyboard shortcut could be set for the enqueue action.

No keyboard shortcut for "Queue Track" function presents in Amarok 1.4
Comment 2 Gabriel Klein 2009-06-23 09:06:10 UTC
It's not listed explicitly in the context menu of playlist items but try pressing Ctrl-D. It toggles between queueing und unqueueing the currently selected track.

Please, don't forget to set your version in the space provided on top of the bug report mask, else it breaks the bug filter

I am using Amarok 2.2.2 and this functionality is now present. Any key combination can be configured to queue the next track using the shortcuts dialogue.

This bug should be marked resolved.

Nice :) Thank you for the feedback!

Bug #217153 is still an issue (which is currently marked as a duplicate of this bug), so it should be reopened and no longer marked as a duplicate of this bug.

Seems I was a bit fast by closing this, I can't see Queue track in the global shortcuts, so assigning any shortcut to it might me rather difficult.
Chris, could you explain how you did this?

I go to the "settings" menu and select "configure shortcuts". Scrolling down reveals "queue track" in the list with the default shortcut "ctrl+d".

Screenshot attached shows the dialogue.

Amarok 2.2.2 from the launchpad Kubuntu ppa.

Neil, I checked again:
it is in the local shortcuts, since queuing requires focus anyway. Se the Settings menu -> Configure shortcuts.

Yes, I found that, but it doesn't (in the current state) solve bug #217153, as the mouse buttons cannot be assigned that way.
