Version: 4.2.85 (KDE 4.2.85 (KDE 4.3 Beta1)) (using 4.2.85 (KDE 4.2.85 (KDE 4.3 Beta1)), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.30-020630rc6-generic Since KDE 4.3 beta 1 there are no file actions more in the file menu like "Open in Opera" or "open in Firefox"
I can't reproduce (trunk rev. 976405, which is after 4.3 Beta 1).
May be it is distro specific? I will see if it still occurs in Beta2.
Yeah, trunk is fine with this. I see iceweasel and kwrite. And a generic "open with". File a bug under kubuntu's bugtracker, and double check you have iceweasel installed. ;)
The bug is stil present in current 4.3 RC3, but I have to specify: The menu is sometimes there and sometimes not. Unfortunately I can not reproduce the reasons when the menu is there or not. But I believe it may have something to do with how konqui ist started.
I reopen this bug, because I can now reproduce the bug and I assume it may be not distro-specific. It definitly happens for me, when the Konqueror window with the tab in is restored from session manager. In that case there are no "open with"-actions in whatever tab. But if I open a new Konqueror window with <CRTL>-N even an empty tab has the open-with-actions. Would be nice if someone tested, if the bug can now be reproduced.
Thanks for the update! I've just found out that this has already been reported. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 170601 ***
