Description Janet 2009-05-24 18:13:56 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.85)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I often use sites like imageshack.us or imagebin.ca to upload screenshots. In KDE3's konqueror I could easily divide the window, search for the picture on one side and have the target site on the other, then drag the image file comfortably from my home folder into the upload form which created a link to the local file.

This isn't possible in konqueror of KDE4 anymore, instead of creating a link the picture is shown in konqueror when dragged onto the form. It doesn't matter if I drag the picture from dolphin or divide the konqueror window. So I'm forced to use the site's file selector to manoeuvre to a place in my filemanager where I already am, which doubles the work.

I wouldn't expect konqueror to *show* dragged files (okular might do that) but to use their address. It even doesn't do that when in filemanager mode.

If it's intended this way please provide an option. When I use konqueror in filemanager mode and drag a file into its window I am asked what do to. Why not when I drag a file into its window when in webbrowser mode?
