Version: (using KDE 4.2.85) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages The symptoms I see are similar to bug 192018, but with some notable differences in the circumstances: - I am using KDE 4.2.85, with Qt 4.5.1 with the latest qt-copy patches. - This invisibility does not happen all the time, as with the aforementioned bug. To trigger the invisibility in my case, I have to access the ZUI through the cashew, and zoom back in to my desktop for the invisibility to appear. The widget will stay invisible until one restarts Plasma, and any new RSSNow widgets added to the desktop before restarting Plasma will share the invisibility trait.

yes, i can duplicate this one as well. the items, however, are still clickable. as with bug 192018, i don't think this one is a bug in plasma as the zooming is completely transparent to the rssnow widget.
this is a qt problem (i've reported it upstream just now) what it does happen is this: if there are ittems with itemclipschildrentoshape flag and an item with itemignoretransformation flag (rssnow, twitter) (the cashew after being zoomed out) in the scene, the children if the itemclipschildrentoshape one are not painted
