Version: (using KDE 4.2.2) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages The menu appearing when I click on the cashew in the top right corner has graphics issues for me: - When I open it, most of it sometimes have a brighter colour than it should have (there are some spots in which the right, darker colour is still displayed). This is a bit random in that it sometimes happens a sometimes doesn't when I click multiple times, but if it happens, it's always the same place (see screenshot - the darker part in the bottom right is the correct background colour). - While moving my mouse over several entries, the background of items I leave is sometimes left in exactly the same bright colour. That is also random and does not depend on how quickly I move my mouse, and it's always a rectangle slightly bigger than the hover effect is. It happens with both the Desktop and a Folder View as containment and no matter where I place the cashew (moving it changes the place in which the glitches appear though, but after being moved back they are at the old place again). This is KDE 4.2.2 at Kubuntu 9.04, NVIdia GeForce 8500 with the 180.44 drivers from NVidia. It happens both with compositing enabled and disabled.
Can you provide a screenshot? (an easy way is to start ksnapshot and set a delay so you can do some operation before the shot is triggered).

Sorry, I planned to do so and then forgot it... here you go.
qt version?
I am using the Qt 4.5 which is shipped with Ubuntu.
This seems to be a Qt issue, as it was fixed in Qt 4.5.1 (Obtainable from this repository: https://edge.launchpad.net/~kubuntu-experimental/+archive/ppa/ for Ubuntu) See also: https://launchpad.net/bugs/337505
Confirmed, the issue is fixed with Qt 4.5.1
