Description Alan Jenkins 2009-04-28 18:31:08 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

"Detachable extenders" are popups from plasma widgets, which can be dragged onto the desktop as a separate widget.

i) Open a window e.g. Konsole.
ii) Click on the digital clock to open the calendar popup.
iii) Drag the calendar popup by it's title, to detach it from the clock; drag it over to the Konsole window in one movement.
-> The calendar should add itself to the desktop. Instead it crashes plasma.

This is not 100% reproducible. Possibly it depends on the size of the window, and the timings of the mouse drag movement. So I'll try to install Kubuntu so I can install dbg packages and get a proper backtrace.
