(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kmail Version: 1.2 (KDE 2.1 Beta 1 >= 20001213) Severity: wishlist Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release) OS: Linux 2.2.16 i686 (SuSE) Hello when someone sends me two mails I like to answer only in one. This makes it necessary to copy&paste one mail into the other. It would be great if kmail would support this by presenting not only a "paste" command but also a "paste as quote" where the copied text is quoted. Daniel Seifert www.dseifert.de
This seems like it would be a simple enough feature to add, and it's one that I've used a *lot* on lesser mail clients. (I'm a new Linux convert...) Please implement!
Yes, it would be really useful improvement.
I often used this feature with the netscape mail agent too! Would be great to have it with Kmail too! Thanks, Beat
implemented in HEAD: revision 1.674 date: 2003/04/18 08:18:35; author: mlaurent; state: Exp; lines: +95 -0 Add "Paste as Quote" "Remove quote" "add quote" code from knode
In which KDE Release will this be included, I haven't seen it in Changelog from 3.1.0 to 3.1.3 nor in Release-Plans of 3.1 or 3.2 (I'm currently using 3.1.0 and recompiling takes so awfully long ;)
Subject: Re: Paste as quote KDE 3.2. Minor releases like KDE 3.1.3 never include new features. The release plans don't contain all new features.
