Description Marcus Harrison 2009-04-02 15:58:40 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Opened the toolbar configuration dialogue for Konqueror and added the location bar to both the main toolbar and location toolbar. It replaced the location bar in the location toolbar with a button saying, "location" and placed the location bar in the main toolbar.
Closed konqueror and tried opening it again. It wouldn't open. I used GDB to generate a backtrace of a silent crash:

(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/kde/4.2/bin/konqueror

Qt: gdb: -nograb added to command-line options.
Use the -dograb option to enforce grabbing.

I did the same thing and it crashed here too with Gentoo KDE 4.3.1 packages. But there are a gazillion of other reports about crashes when editing toolbars.

Is this still an issue in KDE v.4.7.4 or higher ?
Comment 3 Marcus Harrison 2012-10-31 10:56:38 UTC
I cannot reproduce with KDE 4.9. It simply replaces one of the address bars with a button called, "Location Bar".
