Version: 1.4 (using 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27-14-generic Hello! It should be possible to assign a wallet to specific programs. Let's say you have the standard "kdewallet" which is protected by a password. This wallet stores all your important passwords etc. for your online banking. The second wallet, let us call it "mailandmore", has no password defined. This one stores your passwords for kmail, kopete and so on. So you can start this programs in the background without annoyed by kwalletmanager asking for your password. I tried to move the "kmail" entries from my kdewallet wallet to a new one without password. But the next time I started kmail it asked me for my POP3 password again. :( Thorsten
Unfortunately KWallet itself only distinguishes between the default wallet and the one used for networking. I agree that this would be nice to have. It however mostly depends on the applications implementing it (any application could theoretically open any wallet). Your bug actually is the same as an older request and as such im marking it as a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 136094 ***
