Description Y Glodt 2001-01-13 20:06:49 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kdesktop
Version: 3.0 (KDE 2.1 Beta 1 >= 20001213)
Severity: wishlist
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS: Linux 2.2.16 i686 (SuSE)

Hi again
another wish:
In the icons properties you should be able to define the position where the icons
should be placed on the desktop.
This should not be messed up by cleanup/arrange icons.
Could be useful for e.g. my mailclient is in the upper right corner office next to it
but a little below.
just a thought...

This looks like a wrong measure against a bug.
In theory when you move an icon somewhere it doesn't move from there.
If you don't want the icons to move don't use cleanup/arrange icons....
In any case "stick this icon here forever" (or so) would be done with a RMB=
=20
option directly not in the properties dialog.
