Description Maciej Pilichowski 2009-02-18 17:20:52 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

When you press ambiguous shortcut you see:

"
The key sequence 'Ctrl+Right' is ambiguous. Use 'Configure Shortcuts'
from the 'Settings' menu to solve the ambiguity.
No action will be triggered.

[OK]
"

Instead of telling user what to do, simply do it.

"
The key sequence 'Ctrl+Right' is ambiguous. No action will be triggered.

[ Configure shortcuts ] [ Close ]
"

Problem still exists in 5.7.0

I would also add info where is the ambiguity, in which components, otherwise one has to search for it, can by annoying.

Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have implemented this wish.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings
