Version:           0.70.0 (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          cc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27-11-generic

I installed Kubuntu with with 4.2 KDE.. Now this happens even in previous version of KDE 4.1.x ... I just cannot log in into gmail account.. 

While Pidgin did log in and I can chat though it.. But kopete just keeps on connecting but didn't log in...

Please note in 1st image I have disabled Gmail in pidgin yet I cannot log in ... While Image 2 shows that Pidgin can load Gmail while kopete keeps on connection.. I have entered correct password and other information but still can't log in...

Please please fix it.. Or let me know the solution..

probably due to our lack of STARTTLS support.

I can log in my Gmail account without any problem with Kopete 0.80.2 (KDE SC 4.3.4).

Do you still encounter the problem?
