Version: (using KDE 4.2.0) OS: Linux Installed from: SuSE RPMs It would be nice to have the possibility to move the icons and objects added in the panel like in kde3
Move: from? to?
Right click on the panel, and click on "unlock widgets" (if the widgets were locked). Then, just drag the widgets normally.
I tried, but they dont move in any way right o left or central click after or before locking the objects
I intend move along the panel from the right to the center or the left, for example the "show desktop" is on the extreme right and is not possibe move it from that position
I found the way:-). The icons can be moved only when the object are unlocked and the panel with options is opened. but cannot be moved freely, the icons must be attached one to the other, in kde3 there was this freedom hence now is a regression :-))
May be you are moving the QuickLaunch plasmoid (which groups icons), but Icon plasmoids can be placed too, and can be moved freely.
I tryed in a new panel, not the main one which contains a lot of things, and tryed to place an icon which launch firefox, it is always on the top of panel, if you try to move in the center automatically go on the top, I found a workaround with a plasmoid which add a variable space between icons and it seems to work
I am also unable to move icons on the panel.
(In reply to comment #8) > I am also unable to move icons on the panel. unlock objects, click on the "halfmoon" on the right of the panel, when the big option panel of the panel is open, move the cursor over the icon and it will change shape in "four arrow", left-click-down and drag and drop the icon where you like
