With the new Kopete from KDE 4.2, I quite often see the behavior that pasting something into the chat window and immediately sending it with Enter inserts only newlines and doesn't send the text, until I either delete one of these lines or type something on the keyboard.

does it need to be long text or short text or does it not matter?

Not sure if it happens also with long texts, I often observe it when I want to just send an URL to someone.

@Mirko : I can't seem to reproduce your bug using the latest KDE SVN, could you try to reproduce using SVN HEAD (or failing that 4.3 BETA).

If you can, I'd appreciate it if you could tell me exactly what you did to re-produce th bug.

It could be just after opening a window, or when the edit window is empty or something even more bizzar, but we'll need your help to nail this one.

I've tried it with kopete compiled from svn and no, I can't reproduce it anymore. So thanks for fixing it somehow :-)
