hi,

i tried to open this

http://www.ctan.org/get/macros/latex/contrib/microtype/microtype.pdf

with okular, but got nothing else than

I have that document as part of my testcases, and it never crashed for me.

Please provide a backtrace for the crash, as you can read in
http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports

Also, please tell which poppler-qt4 version do you have.

I am 99% sure that this is a poppler issue. I can reproduce the crash with poppler-0.87, but using poppler-0.10.3 the pdf displays fine in okular.

all right, confirmed. upgraded to poppler 0.10.3 (from 0.8.7) and two machines and the issue disappears on both.
