Description Matthias Loitsch 2009-02-03 15:04:50 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When I try to send or receive a file in a conversation with OTR (off-the-record) enabled, it does not work.
Instead of receiving a file transfer request I get:

The following message received from SOMEBODY@SOMEWHERE.org was not encrypted: []

Disabling OTR for this conversation made the file transfer possible.

Exactly the same for me using Kopete Version 0.70.90!

This is very annoying because I tried to solve this problem for a long time and always blamed the connection to be the cause. It was pure luck that I discovered it is rather the enabled OTR that prevents the file transfers to be established.
Like Matthias said it is possible to disable otr for file transfer but it should handle it automatically and probably without cutting the encrypted conversation.

Would love if this could be fixed!

Thanks
