Description Fred Wells 2009-02-01 03:07:10 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: RedHat RPMs

KDE intermittenly hangs during startup for long periods of time. Sometimes several minutes. This may be caused by poorly written plasmoids/widgets blocking during initialization - but I'm guessing here. Whether or not this is true, KDE/plasma needs to be able to successfully start independantly of poor plasmoid/widget behavior.

I'm at 4.2.3 now and haven't seen this problem for some time. I think we can assume it's been fixed. Closing.
