Description Javier Galvan 2009-01-31 04:16:33 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I started my normal bootup process and received the prompt to enter my username and password. After I enter my username and password, the default splash screen starts for KDE. It then freezes and I receive the message that Plasma Workspace crashed.

I've tried to log in 6 times and each time I receive the same message.

The application Plasma Workspace (plasma) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV).
Please help us improve the software you use by filing a report at http://bugs.kde.org. Useful details include how to reproduce the

@Javier: your KDE version is too old: try at least using 4.1.4 or 4.2.
This bug should be a packaging bug (Ubuntu fault)
Please, reopen this bug report if you experience this again with a recent KDE version
