Description Cassiano Leal 2009-01-24 15:09:14 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.96)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

I'm not sure that this is even possible, but here's the situation:

My company has an auto-configurable proxy that runs squid and requires authentication. All is well with KDE native apps, as they inherit KDE's proxy configuration.

The problem is that I am stuck with Evolution for mail as the company has an Exchange server, and Evolution 2.24's proxy support is very weak and fails every time (and doesn't support proxy autoconf unless I provide a URL, which I don't have).

My wish is to have Evolution (and other GNOME/GTK+/whatnot apps) to use KDE's proxy settings, if possible at all.

Thanks for the great job in KDE 4.2. It has been my work desktop since right before the first betas and it is serving me very well!
