Description Johann-Nikolaus Andreae 2009-01-22 14:25:27 UTC
Version:           4.2 rc1 (using 4.1.96 (KDE 4.1.96 (KDE 4.2 RC1)) "release 78.2", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.7-9-pae

I have two calenders managed by akonady.
If i add a new appointment the organizer did not ask where to store it.

In Configure->General->Save

Do you have "Be asked which resource to use" selected ?

yes, i have "be asked..." selected.

It was working when i had standard calendar files, then after i migrated them to akonadi resources it just selects 'some' callendar to add event to.

I found something else, it is adding events to callendar which was last selected in "resource configurator" dialog. When i double click one of akonadi calendars, and select one of them in this dialog, just click OK, and then next event is added to that 'last selected' calendar.

to made things clear:

i have added akonadi resource to calendars in korganizer, and it contains 4 ical resources. Now kontact did not ask where to store new event.

when i added another akonadi resource to calendars, (and this way they both contain the same 4 calendars, and all events in calendar view are doubled), then korganizer asks which 'akonadi resource' to store new event in, but still not which calendar to use.

This looks like akonadi resource containing more than one calendar is seen by korganizer like just single callendar. I haven't found any way to add two different akonadi resources, and this makes it (akonadi) preaty useless for me. I need separate calendars for storing job, private, etc events.

Doesn't apply with the new incidence editors, because you must choose the calendar there
