Description Pierre Ligot 2009-01-22 11:06:35 UTC
Version: 1.3 (using KDE 4.1.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When I try to log out, the computer show a screen with various character, in strange colours, and doesn't respond any more.
I also have Xfce installed and it have the same problem (not exatly same screen trough ).
It doesn't happen if I log out by killing the X server.

This is probably a driver/graphics card issue. (and you are experiencing this too in XFCE). What graphics card / drivers do you use ?
Thanks

The reporter sent me an email:
---------

I use a gforce 9300 and as far as I know, I got the last proprietary drivers (but i don't know how to be sure, or how to get the exact version number)
It may well be a graphic card thing, because I'm experiencing several crashes when I use graphic intensives applications such as ta spring or some 3D effect in kde or compiz-fusion.

----------

Try asking at http://ubuntuforums.org/ if someone experienced the same problem. Also, ask (or search) how to get your graphics card driver version

Thanks :)
