Version: 2.0 beta-5 (using 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-23-generic If you lock a layer with the mouse, this lock is lost if you paint with a different tool (tablet stylus or eraser) to reproduce: 1. start a new document 2. paint something with the mouse 3. lock the layer while using the mouse 4. test you can't paint anymore with the mouse 5. grab your tablet stylus and paint something 6. you can now paint with the mouse, while layer still locked
Works for me with current svn.
I can still reproduce it, try this, if in the step 5 you can't paint with the stylus in the locked layer, switch to the stylus's eraser and try to delete some pixels. I tried some times and there were moments where I couldn't reproduce it, but trying with the eraser did the trick. so, for summarise, just lock the layer and try to paint with the stylus, stylus eraser or mouse, eventually i can edit the layer while locked.
Ack, yes, I have been able to reproduce. It seems that if the layer is locked, and I switch input device, the new device automatically selects the default tool. This needs further investigation.
Hum, still happen.
Problem happens in Karbon too.
Thank you for your bug report or feature suggestion. The "KOffice" application suite is no longer maintained, and all tickets are now closed. We recommend to switch to the "Calligra" application suite, which has replacements for all unmaintained KOffice applications: - KWord was replaced with Calligra Words - KPlato was replaced with Calligra Plan For more information, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calligra_Suite (This is an automatic message from the KDE bug triaging team)
