Description Karsten König 2009-01-18 16:28:31 UTC
Version:            (using Devel)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Compiled sources

Situation:
Composite enabled
Firefox 3
Intel x4500hd integrated graphics card
kwin from current opensuse KDE4:Factory repo, should be pretty close to 4.2 upstream

Reproduce:
Select text in firefox and drag it somewhere, the system freezes for ~15 seconds and then deactivates composite. Now it runs fine and drag&drop works as expected, but composite is deactivated...

The errormessage from kwin is:
kwin(23210) KWin::checkGLError: GL error ( PostPaint ): 0x "502"

Can't try on other graphics hardware

wstephenson told me right after submitting that this doesn't happen on his nvidia card with the binary driver, so it's propably related to the intel card and it's driver
