Description Alexandre Pereira 2009-01-14 12:32:07 UTC
Version:            (using Devel)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Compiled sources

using kde 4.1.87

actually i dunno what category to file this in. sorry :(

i would like an option so that the whole kde file management widgets or parts or windows would not separate folders and files.

i have set my dolphin to not separate folders and files. so when i order it by date , it orders everything ( files and folders ) by date.

currently , on the open file or save file, or folderview plasmoid, etc , all put the folders first , then the files.

maybe some global option, or kde to follow dolphin or konquerors file management settings.

usage case : put a folderview plasmoid where it would show for example order by date descendent, and the most recent file and folders are on top ( or bottom ) so one could see easilly and quickly what the new items (files and folders) are on a folder.
as it is now , i have to look at the folders on top to see what is the most recent , and then at the bottom to see what files are the most recent.

thanks for the really wonderfull desktop that i have been using for years :) sorry if the bug is badly submitted, but i think the usage case described would be really nice

It is supported by uncheck "icon"-->"Sorting"-->"Folder first"
