Since several weeks kopete simply ignores my notification settings at least for new messages but also for "ICQ Reading status" and others. Neither popups are shown nor the taskbar icon is marked regardless what my notification settings are. The only way I can see new messages is via the blinking icon the contact list :-/.

If I remember right I still get popups for connection errors but those seem to be the only I still get.

sry, false alarm. Apparently this was some kind of configuration issue (maybe a general problem regarding all notifications). Started with a complete clean home dir and at least I get some notifications from kopete again.
