i recently installed the latest kde4.2 beta (because i'd read that it was more stable than kde4.1 which it seems to be in general. at first kopete worked normally, better in fact. however, today all my msn contacts are missing. they all appear offline even though i know that some of them are online.

any ideas?

I have read that Microsoft has very recently changed the protocol which makes that third-party clients cannot connect anymore. I guess this is the problem here. In any case i can confirm.

This is fixed with a newer libmsn version.
