Version: kgamma 4.1.3 (using KDE 4.1.3) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages 1. I realise that this is filed against the wrong application. The search function came up with zero hits when I searched for "kgamma". So I'm afraid that someone will have to move this to the correct application (it wouldn't let me simply enter "kgamma" manually). 2. I installed kgamma 4.1.3 under Kubuntu 8.10 (KDE 4.1.3) 64-bits. 3. Now I can't see how to run it at all. Specifically: 3a. I can't find it in System Settings (which is where I expected to find it). In particular, it's not under System Settings | Computer Administration | Display, which seems like the closest equivalent to KDE3's Computer Administration | Monitor & Display. 3b. It's not in the K Menu (at least, not anywhere obvious; i.e., System, Utilities or Graphics [it seems like "System" is the pbvious place to look) 3c. It doesn't run from the CLI. My suspicion is that it's supposed to appear as a panel in System Settings, since that's what happened in KDE3. But it's definitely not there.
Imho - kgamma kcm module should be docked in systemsettings/Display. So far it's only available in krandrtray component that display it's own 'Display' kcm module set, which is a bit inconsistent.

I would never have thought of looking there for anything other than... er... resize and rotate. Nor, in fact, when one runs krandrtray on a vanilla install, is it at all obvious to the user that krandrtray is any different from the "display" component of System Settings. In fact, I was wondering why they both exist since they seem to have identical functions in a vanilla installation... until one installs kgamma, anyway. As a user, I agree with Maciej about where kgamma should be (mostly based on the fact that that's consistent with KDE3, and it seems like an obvious place for the user to look).
