Version: (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources I used KDE4Daily, logged into a session, resized the screen (having virtualbox-Guestadditions installed) by making the guest window bigger (but this can also be by just changing the resolution). Then I tried to log out - Now not the whole screen goes black, with the logout plasmoid in the middle - just the left upper screen part - the same part which was te resolution before resizing. See screenshot.

Oh, BTW, look at the icon at the logout button - it is too big, isn't it. But that's another story.
I have reported this problem earlier in novell bugzilla at https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=443212 in my case the size of the logout effect seems to be the smallest xrandr screen. see my original bug for a little more details.
Is this still valid with KDE 4.9.x? Please set the version field.
