It might be a good thing that if in kate session widget can remove sessions. It may be there already but at least I didn't found that options.

Sessions > Manage...
Does that work? I think it might be better to not add a "delete" button to the session chooser when Kate starts.

No reply. Session > Manage works certainly. so close as fixed.
