Comment 1 Richard Hartmann 2009-01-09 17:43:25 UTC
This happens when I closed a Konsole on 4.1.96 after upgrading from 4.1.3 so it might just be that the session stuff can't be loaded.

Still, Konsole should just ignore non-compatible data, imo.

Close WONTFIX if you want, but I didn't want this to get lost.
Comment 2 Dario Andres 2009-01-09 17:51:09 UTC
What QT version are you using ?
If you can reproduce the crash at will, may you read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports and post a complete backtrace here? Thanks :)
Comment 3 Richard Hartmann 2009-01-09 17:56:01 UTC
Will do tonight. That backtrace is all the KDE crash handler gave me and I did not have time for more, sorry.
Comment 4 Dario Andres 2009-01-09 17:58:14 UTC

Comment 5 Richard Hartmann 2009-01-11 22:44:54 UTC
Due to several crashes and other weird behaviour, I was forced to move away my ~/.kde4 which I started with 4.1.0 and start anew. No Konsole crashes since and I will try to copy it back and debug once I get some free time.

@Tony: your crash may be related or not. Update your Qt package. If you can reproduce the crash at will, may you read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports and post a complete backtrace in a NEW report (if it's different from this)? Thanks :)

I think I have the same symptoms here: Fatal Error when quitting Konsole either with ctrl-D or using the menu.

Using KDE 4.1.4, Konsole 4.1.4 and Qt 4.5.1.2 on debian testing.
