the problem was there since the early days of kd4(when i started using it)

steps to reproduce:
1. add a url of a file to be downloaded of a file to be downloaded to be downloaded through file -> new download

2. the file will be aaded to the list but will not start downloading even when it is the first and only file on the list, i have to right click and click "start downloading twice for kget to do that

the workaround(clicking download twice) will also have to be done to all files in the list when i want them to autodownload when their time on the que is up
