Version: KDE: 4.1.87 (KDE 4.1.87 (KDE 4.2 >= 20090101)) "release 3.1"; Kopete: 0.60.81 (using Devel) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources I already have a MSN account on my primary identity, then I created another identity and added an additional MSN account to it. Now when I try connecting to this new MSN account for the first time, kopete crashes and outputs this into the console: kopete: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/kde4/kopete_wlm.so: undefined symbol: _ZN3MSN28NotificationServerConnection15setFriendlyNameESsb This second MSN account has a few contacts that are already present in the first MSN account (which is offline), after a brief pause (during which the account status is 'connecting') the contact list starts to get updated but then everything crashes. I tried upgrading kopete and adding the kopete-devel package, but neither the problem goes away nor do I get additional debug information.
I tried one more thing: I removed my original MSN account from kopete, to remove the possibility of any contact conflicts, but it still crashes when I connect to the second account (though old contacts could perhaps theoretically still be cached somewhere despite being deleted, so I guess a conflict is not completely ruled out). If any developer needs it for testing, I am willing to give them the credentials to the problematic MSN account - I don't use it very much anyhow.
> kopete: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/kde4/kopete_wlm.so: undefined symbol: > _ZN3MSN28NotificationServerConnection15setFriendlyNameESsb This is a bad library mismatch between the available libmsn on your system and the one used to compile Kopete. Please report the issue to your distro (openSUSE).
