Version: (using Devel) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources Hi. Some digital cameras allow to record sound and store it within the image EXIF data. I'd would be nice if KDE would be able to indicate that there is sound embedded within the image file (e.g. putting a speaker icon over the file icon in file lists), and if it would be able to play that sound when viewing that file (but not to start it automatically, unless explicitly configured so, e.g. in GwenView slideshow mode; note that in that case, the slideshow should pause for the time needed to play the sound). Some inspiration may be found here: http://developer.berlios.de/projects/wavextract/
I've moved to gwenview and added Peter Penz on the CC. Maybe you, gwenview and dolphin developers, could know if and where put this request.
This could be an interesting feature for Gwenview, indeed. Can you attach an example file to this report?
Created attachment 78537 [details] photo with sound better late than never :-)

(In reply to Justin Zobel from comment #4) > As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can > please confirm that the issue still persists. yes, KDE (or gwenview in particular) still isn't able to read the embedded sound
