I'll keep adding info here and hopefully something will reveal it's self. I don't have time to make an in depth study, I need to do my work. The best I can come up with so far is that it seems to crash when I'm being demanding. Such as in this instance I'm sorting through my contacts and trying to reorganize them from the one big address book I imported, into something more manageable. I have 461 contacts and am trying to go through them and add categories so I can filter them. After working for a time kontact suddenly crashes when I click a new contact. I didn't make it work correctly I made the program/computer work HARD. Ie I can tell it's still computing something but I don't wait for it to finish before clicking on the next contact. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO! I have a 2GHz Laptop with 8GB ram. I should be able to edit contacts as fast and I can and it should still respond instantaneously. It's not like I'm asking it to render a 3d scene or something. Just add a couple of bits to the database and display the results of a different record. Getting frustrated now. May try again later, if I don't find a work around.
