Description Dotan Cohen 2008-12-29 13:52:28 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

1) from a blank calendar, create an event and recur it weekly.
2) With the mouse drag the event to a different time/date
3) Select "All Occurrences"

What happens: there are now _two_ events on the calendar instead of one.

Note that this bug is inconsistent, that is, _sometimes_ the move works as expected.

I discovered this bug while triaging bug #172464 and bug #171789
Comment 1 Dotan Cohen 2008-12-29 13:57:11 UTC
This bug seems related to bug #96237 however, that bug seems to be a display issue (it is 'fixed' when the user changes the view) and this bug is not. Also, that bug is FIXED and this one is not.

Dotan, can you retest with >=KDE4.2?

I can't reproduce it and know that a bug similar to this one was fixed recently.
Comment 3 Dotan Cohen 2009-02-05 19:19:03 UTC
I could not reproduce this bug with "All Ocurrences", but I could now reproduce with "Only This Item". I encourage triagers to try the different choices for moving events, and also to switch to a future week and back again after each move. The bug is reproducible, but it takes a few moves. I cannot figure out what the common pattern to reproducibility is.

I should mention that was bitten by bug 172464 while triaging this bug.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korganizer (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Comment 5 Denis Kurz 2017-01-07 22:26:29 UTC
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
