Description Simon 2008-12-27 11:40:13 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

Every time I update xorg, my mouse acceleration (usually to 1.0x) will be set to something higher and the key repeat rate will be set to 0. However, in kcontrol the settings stay as I want them to be; I've got to change the acceleration to a different value and back and uncheck the key repeat rate checkbox and check it again to convince kcontrol that I really mean it that way.

Hi! Could you try to update to KDE 3.5.10?

Can you reproduce even on KDE 4?
Comment 2 Simon 2008-12-28 19:24:23 UTC
I'll do as soon as it is in the repo; KDE4 isn't installed yet, sorry. But I'll let you know.

Isn't it possible that after the xorg-update the settings are overwritten (or re-generated) by xorg without that kde knows it?

It could be. Anyway a test with KDE 4 could be useful. Thanks

Till now I didn't experience any more problems. Using KDE4 for a few weeks now (or months already?).

Thanks, I've tried to reproduce it too but I wasn't able :)
