Description Alec Moskvin 2008-12-26 04:48:37 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Compiler: gcc (Gentoo 4.3.2 p1.2) 4.3.2
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

When dragging an applet such as the Calendar, the Power Management or a notification applet and releasing the mouse over an application, Plasma crashes. This is especially bad if it's a progress dialog (like when copying a file), since the status is no longer shown after Plasma relaunches (although the process still continues).

How to Reproduce:
1. Open some window and maximize it.
2. Click the clock to make a Calendar appear.
3. Drag the Calendar onto the window and release. If nothing happens, drag it again and release.
4. Plasma crashes.

This happens in KDE 4.1.85 (KDE 4.2 Beta2).

Using your reproduction instructions I get a crash with the same backtrace as bug 178601. These are most likely dupes.
