Comment 3 Christoph Pfister 2009-03-22 20:59:09 UTC
should work better now (before only one user was allowed per device; so you had to stop live to get a recording, but this has been fixed)

Hi, does this "instantly record button" exist for Kaffeine4 ? I see nothing on the GUI. it misses a lot.
Comment 5 Christoph Pfister 2009-04-15 15:04:16 UTC
recording support has been improved:
- the schedule is saved when quitting / loaded when starting
- instant record added
- some small ui improvements

Hi, thanks ! I compiled the last 1.0pre1 and it works perfectly. An improvement you can do : we can't know if the instant record is effective or not. With Kaffeine we had a "red button" and a OSD title that displayed "record running" "record stopped".
Comment 7 Christoph Pfister 2009-05-14 20:23:13 UTC
the instant record button is checkable; i.e. it changes state similar to the pause button (i'm not saying this is necessary ideal, but the state is visually represented)

Can you improve in the future for something more 'easy-to-see' like the kaffeine3 functions ? The problem is the user loose some simple consequences of the action :

I click on 'instant record' = I must see the result on the screen. And for the moment we loose all the OSD informations very easy to understand.

I opened a similar suggestion today : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=192683

I prefer to see more than less/no informations.
Comment 9 Christoph Pfister 2010-08-11 21:33:25 UTC
this is fixed (at least) in 1.0 (osd messages are shown for instant recording)
