Description Lee Aidos 2008-12-20 01:44:28 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

After a few minutes of normal use, the machine slows to a crawl. A top -u user reveals that there are several dozen kio_http processes. Programs in use are usually KTorrent, Arora, Yakuake, KNetworkManager, and three KDE twitter plasmoids.

A killall -9 kio_http alleviates the problem for a few minutes.

Running openSUSE 11.1 using the trunk snapshot packages.

I'm not running Konqueror. Isn't that the crux of bug 162612?

Don't know how helpful this is, but the problem is also occurring on openSUSE 11.0 using the trunk packages.

Fixed now. Closing.
