Description Thilo-Alexander Ginkel 2008-12-17 08:56:29 UTC
Version: KDE 4.1.85 (KDE 4.2 Beta2) (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

When "Lock Widgets" has been selected the rendering of the panel's Task Manager and Systray applets is slightly incorrect as their drawing areas overlap (see attached screenshot).

even better, when locked and system tray icons are hidden, expanding the system tray results in bizarre behaviour: the taskbar shrinks to accomodate, but the system tray extends to the right.

there's something very unright with the layout when the panel is locked.

Wow... I've just reproduced this bug on trunk compiled yesterday :-(

Empty space when the tray plasmoid is contracted.

When hiding icons in the Tray plasmoid there's a space that remains.

Tray plasmoid overlaps to the right.

When expanding the Tray plasmoid it overlaps the one to its right.

I can confirm having the same issues explained here.

1) abnormal behaviour of the systray in a locked panel (overlapping the clock and/or task manager).
2) in a locked panel, the last item doesn't position itsefl to the far right. (leaves the space where the plasma icon used to be)

Look at bug 178222 comment 4 and bug 178222 comment 5 for another case + video

The same here.
The sys tray seem to reserve on start up as much horizontal space as it ever needed before. This leads to the fact that there is white spice on both sides if not as much icons are present as last time. But if the number of icons increase the tray does not call for adequate more space.
This is just a guess from looking at the visual symptoms.

still happening (amarok in systray expanding to cover the time/date) in trunk see http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/7334/snapshot1nd4.jpg

In my case it overlaps the powerdevil icon on my vertical panel. You can still touch the powerdevil icon by just clicking besides the systray icons :P
