Version: (using KDE 4.1.0) OS: Linux Installed from: SuSE RPMs It would be nice to be able to choose keyboard shortcuts to activate certain widgets.
It would be nice to be able to choose keyboard shortcuts to activate certain widgets. I would be more productive if I didn't have to use the mouse to activate an application launcher, or to launch dolphin.
What about adding shortcuts in the menu entries (eg for dolphin)? Also, you can configure the shortcut for the K menu.
If I understand this correctly, this bug can be closed. Plasmoids e.g. (did you mean that with 'widgets') can be connected with shortcuts. An application Launcher appears on Alt + F2 and shortcuts for single programs can be defined in the K-menu editor. If I misunderstood you and the wish is still valid, feel free to reopen it.
Everything now works as requested. So go ahead and close this bug (feature request).
