Looks working here, can you provide an example of search whose highlighted text is not placed correctly?
Also, which poppler-qt4 version do you have?

It seems to have something to do with the orientation. At the first page, rotate the PDF 90 degrees to the left. Then search for "reward". It then jumps to page two and highlights something "below" the text (i.e. to the right of the text because it is rotated). It highlights an area that does not contain any text.

libpoppler-qt4-3 with Debian version number 0.8.7-1

When it happened the first time the error occured when the text was correcly oriented, presumably because it had been rotated temporarily (because the document contains some rotated pages that I was looking at).

You need poppler >= 0.10.0
