Description Edwin Schepers 2008-12-11 20:07:18 UTC
Version: 2.1 (using 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.2), 4.1.2-5.fc10 Fedora)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27.4-58.fc10.x86_64

Hi,
In bash, when 'cd /tmp', my tabtext becomes "/t : bash". I would expect 'tmp : bash' like other directories.

Look at 167590 comment 2 (This behaviour is intentional) :)
Comment 2 Robert Knight 2008-12-12 18:44:15 UTC
As mentioned in comment #2, this behavior is in fact a 'feature', although I admit not a very intuitive one.
Comment 3 Edwin Schepers 2008-12-12 21:33:02 UTC
Yes, I see now. And I agree with you it's not very intuitive. I would vote for showing the complete directory. It's a case for deciding how much the system should do the thinking for you. I think in this case I'd rather do the thinking. If it's ambiguous, I would detach or use 2 konsole's.
My 2ct.

Regards,
Edwin
