Version: 0.7.3 (using KDE 4.1.3) OS: Linux Installed from: SuSE RPMs OpenOffice 3 has the feature to add notes to a document. (Einfügen -> Notiz) (engl: Insert -> Note) acroread is able to display the note just fine. In okular there is a little icon shown for the note, but the content is wrong and allways the same it seems. fm@macbook:~> rpm -q kde4-okular libpoppler4 OpenOffice_org-writer acroread kde4-okular-4.1.3-3.5 libpoppler4-0.10.1-1.1 OpenOffice_org-writer-3.0.0.9-1.4 acroread-8.1.3-51.4 This has been reported at https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=457122

Cannot reproduce here, can you please provide a screenshot of the issue?
Created attachment 29183 [details] screenshot of okular the text is different. And adding several annotations all result in the same text.
Works here too, strange. What you are seeing is the utf marker. Are you using your system in a non-utf8 locale? Also is that opensuse 11.1?
This is an openSUSE 11.1 RC1. # cat /etc/SuSE-release openSUSE 11.1 (i586) VERSION = 11.1 # locale LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 LC_CTYPE="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_NUMERIC="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_TIME="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_COLLATE="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_MONETARY="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_MESSAGES="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_PAPER="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_NAME="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_ADDRESS="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_TELEPHONE="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_MEASUREMENT="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_IDENTIFICATION="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_ALL=
Seeing the problem here, also on openSuse 11.1 RC1, so looks to be a downstream issue.
Thanks for testing John. I reopened the issue downstream again. Pino, Albert certainly any pointer where the issue might be is appreciated. downstream is at: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=457122
the issue is solved somewhere. It is not there with 11.1 GM.
