Description Richard Li 2008-12-09 04:16:55 UTC
Version: 2.1 (using KDE 4.1.3)
Compiler: GCC 4.2.4
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Character 300a and 300b ("《》") have full width (as wide as 2 ASCII characters in Monospace fonts) according to the Unicode Standard Annex #11.

Most other programs and libraries, including gnome-terminal, xfce-terminal and libncurses, follow the standard and assume they are full-width characters. But Konsole does not. As a result, misalignment occurs if a ncurses program displays these characters in Konsole.
