Description Ronny Standtke 2008-12-06 23:00:34 UTC
Version: 1.10.90 (using 4.1.80 (KDE 4.1.80 (KDE 4.2 Beta1)), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27-10-generic

I recently got a mail with several dozen attachments (pictures). I wanted to keep the mail but not the attachments. I could not find a simple way to remove all (or just selected) attachments. Instead, I had to select every single attachment for deletion. This was very cumbersome and tiring.
I selectd all the attachments in the description structure of the message (at the bottom of the window), right clicked and selected "Delete attachment" but this menu entry did just nothing. Therefore this is a bug and not a wishlist entry.

Confirmed in svn trunk revision 894340.
By the way, when an attached file is removed (in the mail view or in the preview), the selection in the new message list is moved to the next mail.

I just tested with KDE-4.3RC3 and unfortunately, the bug is still there.

Confirmed in KDE 4.3.4

this menu is not there any more, is it?

however, deleting all attachments is still not possible - see bug 325571

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
