Version: 4.1.3 (using KDE 4.1.3) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages While I attempt to login to a page with Konqueror which has https authentication active the authentication requires me to accept a self signed certificate. When I do that the login prompt goes away and I get the following crash from kcrash. (see attachment).

This is actually a crash not a bug as I had said when I submitted it.

David (comment 4) : your crash is different from the one reported by James. James' crash is the KSSLD module crashing in KConfig, while your crash is in PackageKit, which I have never heard of. Please find out which package /usr/lib/libpackagekit-qt.so.0 comes from, and report to the author of that package.
David (comment 5) : ok, you're right. But why is kded crashing? this is a bit confusing to me. isn't there an option to handle the crash in the library and popup a window?
kded doesn't pop up DrKonqi (the GUI crash handler)? Hmm, that must come from KCrash::setFlags(KCrash::AutoRestart) then... (I never see drkonqi here because I have exported KDE_DEBUG=1...)

If the crash still happens with a recent KDE version (4.6.5 or 4.7), please add an updated backtrace or provide steps to reproduce. For more information, see http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports
