Currently, I can add MSN contacts in my Yahoo! account (but only with the official client). Then, I see their online status and can even receive messages from them, but the answers never arrive.
I don't know if this is really a bug, but with Pidgin everything works as expected, so I'm sure this could be fixed.

Hello from the KDE Bugsquad!

Unfortunately, Yahoo has discontinued the Yahoo Messenger service, and the code has been removed from Kopete.

Thus, I am closing this bug as "UNMAINTAINED" since it will no longer be fixable, or able to operate due to Yahoo.
