Once a screen edge action is set in Desktop effects/Screen Edges, it is impossible to disable or change change it from the gui. Clicking "Apply" the restores the previous setting.

Cannot reproduce.

Can you attach a copy of your ~/.kde4/share/config/kwinrc immediately after changing the setting and applying please (Do not close the window after applying).

After some more examination I've noticed something else. The bug doesn't happen if you switch tabs to All Effects or Advanced and then press Apply. Then it works as intended.

If I remember correctly, this issue was present some time ago (maybe between Lucas' and my changes), but is fixed now. Maybe I also fixed the bug with my changes, I'll have a look at my notes when I'm back home.

Which version are you using?

It seems to have been fixed in 4.1.82. Cannot reproduce.

I'm using the 4.1.85 version and it's not being fixed. I'm using the fedora/redhat packages. I attached my config for what it's worth.

It seems the bug returned in 4.1.85. Downgrading KWin to 4.1.82 helps. Looking at websvn, it might have something to do with commit 894182.
