Description Matthias Patz 2008-11-29 19:09:57 UTC
Version: 0.9.4 (using 3.5.9 "release 49.1" , openSUSE 11.0)
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.25.18-0.2-pae

applications involved:

digicam 0.9.4
kde 3.5.9 release 49.1 opensuse 11.0
dolphin 0.8.2

i created a new album in digicam. i was trying to import pictures from another folder (on the same hdd) by dragging them from a dolphin window into the album, then clicking on 'move here'. the files did not appear in the album and dolphin did not show them in the old folder either. after closing dolphin and reopening the old folder, they were still there. i tried the same action again. digicam asked if i wanted to overwrite the files in the album (wich were not there) and i clicked 'yes'. this time the files were completely gone and can neither be found in the old folder nor in digicam album view nor in the folder where digicam should have stored them on the hdd. i could not reproduce this error since then. shortly (like in: <3 seconds) before i first tried to import the files i renamed them with dolphin. it were ~15 files and the name pattern was "b3_#.jpg"

i hope you can get some information from this.

Matthias,

This entry still valid using digiKam 0.9.5 (KDE3) or 0.10.0 (KDE4) ?
